Your Impact in Action
Animal Rescue & Disaster Response
Shelter Animal Wellbeing
Animal Rescue
Every day, animals in crisis arrive at our doors in need of safety,
medical care, and compassion. Thanks to committed supporters,
our Animal Care Centers are able to respond to cruelty cases,
emergency rescues, and urgent community needs. Each animal
receives individualized treatment and attention, creating the
foundation for healing and new beginnings.
Animal Care Teams
Inside our shelters, dedicated professionals provide daily
care, medical monitoring, enrichment, and comfort. Their
work ensures that every animal is treated with dignity and
compassion while awaiting adoption.
Disaster Response
When disasters strike, rapid response saves lives. With donor
partnership, the SPCA of Texas mobilizes quickly to provide rescue,
sheltering, and critical supplies during floods, storms, and extreme
weather. This readiness ensures that vulnerable pets and families
are never left without help when emergencies arise.
Local & National Adoption
Local Adoptions
Behind every successful adoption is a network of care, preparation,
and guidance. Support from our community makes it possible for
animals to receive enrichment, behavior support, and socialization
before joining their new families. Adoption counselors work closely
with each adopter to create thoughtful, lasting matches that
strengthen the human-animal bond.
National Adoptions
Lifesaving extends far beyond our local shelters. Through national
adoption partnerships, animals from overcrowded regions are
given opportunities in communities where loving homes are
available. These efforts expand lifesaving nationwide and allow
more pets to begin new chapters in safe, stable environments.
Spay/Neuter & Affordable Veterinary Care
Spay, Neuter, and Wellness Services
Access to veterinary care changes lives. Community investment in
spay, neuter, vaccines, and wellness programs helps prevent
unwanted litters, reduce shelter intake, and protect animal health.
Families who might otherwise struggle to afford care are able to
provide vaccinations, preventative treatment, and essential
medical services.
By strengthening access to care, supporters help keep pets
healthy, at home, and out of shelters, benefiting animals, families,
and neighborhoods alike.
Foster Program
For animals who need extra time, recovery, or specialized
attention, foster homes offer a vital bridge to adoption.
With organizational support and community participation,
foster families help pets thrive in nurturing environments
and prepare them for successful placement.
Behavior Team
Understanding behavior is key to successful adoption. Our
team evaluates each animal’s needs and works to reduce
stress, build confidence, and create personalized plans
that support long-term success in new homes.
Staff and Volunteers
Across shelters, clinics, and outreach programs, staff and
volunteers form the heart of our mission. Their compassion,
skill, and dedication bring lifesaving work to life each day
and turn donor investment into real-world impact.
Community Health & Wellbeing
Pet Resource Center
The Pet Resource Center serves as a lifeline for families
facing financial hardship or unexpected challenges.
Through food assistance, supplies, referrals, and practical
support, families receive help when they need it most, often
preventing unnecessary surrender and keeping pets
where they belong.
These services preserve family bonds, reduce shelter
intake, and promote healthier outcomes for both people
and animals.
