Caring for Pets While
Patients Heal
Spring 2025
In 2025, the SPCA of Texas launched a
groundbreaking partnership with
Parkland Health, ensuring patients never
have to choose between their own health
and the safety of their pets. Through this
program, qualifying patients’ pets receive
temporary shelter, veterinary care, and
daily enrichment while their people
focus on healing. This innovative
collaboration reflects what donor
support makes possible: compassionate
solutions that remove real-world
barriers and strengthen families during
crisis. Because of our donors, pets
remain protected, patients experience
peace of mind, and a shared community
vision became a lifesaving reality.
