10,000 Cats Transported: A Milestone of
Lifesaving Collaboration
December 2025
By the end of 2025, the SPCA of Texas reached a powerful
milestone: 10,000 cats transported since January 1, 2022. Each
transport represents donor-powered coordination, medical
clearance, staffing, and trusted partnerships that give cats
new chances at adoption. These efforts create space in North
Texas for animals with urgent needs while connecting cats to
communities ready to welcome them. This milestone reflects
systems built with intention and sustained by philanthropy.
Donors didn’t just help move cats. They helped build a growing,
collaborative network that continues to save lives every day.
Silent Night Foster Program: Community Partners
Creating Holiday Comfort
December 2025
During the busiest time of year for shelters, the SPCA of Texas
joined six North Texas animal welfare partners for the Silent
Night Foster Program, a collaborative effort designed to
reduce shelter stress during the holidays. Working alongside
Dallas Animal Services, Fort Worth Animal Care and Control,
Carrollton Animal Services & Adoption Center, Glen Rose Animal
Control, Humane Society of Dallas County, and Operation
Kindness Humane Society, the campaign placed animals in
temporary foster homes, creating critical space for pets with
urgent needs. Donor support provided food, supplies, medical
care, and guidance for foster families, making participation
accessible and impactful. Because donors and community
partners worked together, the holidays brought relief, stability,
and comfort to pets across the region.
